We took a little adventure into the desert around Terlingua and drove through a tiny place called Terlingua Ghost Town. It felt like we had wandered onto an old movie set—a café, a cemetery and a small theatre, with very little else around.
Just outside town, we passed this black El Camino parked against the mountains. It looked completely at home there, so we turned around to photograph it.
We made the image in black and white. Between the car, the empty road and the old ghost town nearby, it already felt like it belonged to another time.
