When we first moved to the coast, Pelican Bread was one of the places everyone told us about. Somewhere along the way, James became a friend too. He makes bread with a real care for the process, the ingredients, and the people he’s feeding. We wanted the photographs to feel the same way — simple, warm, a little imperfect, and rooted in the everyday rhythm of the bakery.
